Frequently asked
Which devices are supported?
An iPhone with iOS 18.0 or later, or an Android phone with Android 8.0 or later. With an iPhone, an Apple Watch with watchOS 11.1 or later is optional.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the app and start training. Your data stays on your phone.
How do I see the rest timer on my Lock Screen?
Start a workout and log a set. On iPhone, the rest timer appears as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island; if you don't see it, check that Live Activities are on for Lagash in the iOS Settings app. On Android, it appears as a notification, also on the lock screen; if you don't see it, check that “End of rest” is on in You › Settings › Notifications, and that Lagash may send notifications in Settings › Apps › Lagash › Notifications.
How do I change the language?
Lagash follows your phone language. To choose a different one on iPhone, open the iOS Settings app, go to Apps › Lagash › Language. On Android 13 and later: Settings › Apps › Lagash › Language. Lagash supports Arabic, English, French, Turkish and Dutch.
How do I back up or move my data?
Go to Settings › Data & storage in Lagash. You can export to CSV or JSON, make a backup file and restore it later. Your data is also included in your normal iPhone backup, or on Android in your Google backup if that is on.
How do I connect Apple Health?
Lagash asks during setup. You can also allow it later in the Health app: tap your profile picture, then Apps › Lagash. Lagash saves your finished workouts and only reads your workouts, so a workout is never saved twice. With Apple Watch, the watch also saves your heart rate and active energy with the workout.
How do I link Health Connect on Android?
Lagash asks during setup. You can also link it later in You › Settings › Health Connect. Lagash only writes your finished workouts to Health Connect and reads nothing from it. You withdraw the permission or delete workouts in Health Connect. On Android 9 to 13, Health Connect is a separate app from Google Play. On Android 8, Health Connect isn't available.
How do I install Lagash on my Apple Watch?
The watch app comes with Lagash on your iPhone. If automatic app install is on, it appears on your watch by itself. If not, open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch and install Lagash from the available apps.
How do I start a workout from my iPhone or watch?
Start the workout on your iPhone as usual; Lagash opens on your watch if “Start automatically on Apple Watch” is on. Or tap Start on your watch for your next workout, and Lagash starts it on your iPhone. If your iPhone doesn’t answer, open Lagash on it and try again.
How do I allow Health on my watch?
Lagash on your watch explains what it reads and asks for your permission. If you say no, everything works, just without heart rate. You can allow it later in the Health app on your iPhone.
How do I turn automatic start on or off?
The first time you start a workout on your iPhone, Lagash asks whether it should also start on your Apple Watch. You can change this later in Lagash’s settings on your watch: “Start automatically on Apple Watch”.
How do I delete my data?
Settings › Data & storage › Delete all data. Lagash asks you to confirm first.
How do I turn off crash reports?
Settings › Data & storage › Send crash reports.
