Lagash

Privacy policy.

Last updated: 19 October 2026

In short: Lagash works without an account. Your workouts, plans and records are stored on your phone (iPhone or Android). Lagash does not sell your data, show ads or track you. The only data that can leave your device on its own are anonymous crash reports, and you can switch those off.

Who is responsible

Lagash is made by Ali Alhammadi. For any privacy question, email [email protected].

Data stored on your device

Your training plan, workouts, sets, weights, personal records and settings are stored locally on your phone. On iPhone, they are included in your own iPhone or iCloud backup, which is managed by Apple. On Android, the system can include them in your Google backup, or move them when you set up a new phone; Google does this. We have no access to this data.

Apple Health

If you allow it, Lagash saves your finished workouts (start, end and duration) to Apple Health. On iPhone, Lagash only reads your workouts from Apple Health, so a workout is never saved twice; it reads nothing else and keeps no heart rate in its own data. If you train with Apple Watch, the watch reads your heart rate and active energy during the workout, shows your heart rate on your wrist and saves both with the workout. Lagash keeps all of this on your iPhone and Apple Watch and sends it nowhere; any syncing through Health or iCloud is done by Apple. Health data is never used for advertising and is never shared with us or third parties. You can change this at any time in the Health app.

Health Connect (Android)

Only if you turn it on. On Android, Lagash then writes each finished workout to Health Connect as a strength training session, with its name, start time, end time and the time you paused. Right after you link it, the workouts you finished earlier are written once as well. Lagash only writes: it reads nothing from Health Connect. Health Connect keeps your workouts on your phone; in Health Connect you choose which apps may read them. Health data is never used for advertising, never goes into a crash report and Lagash sends it to no one, including us. To stop, choose Disconnect in Lagash (You › Health Connect). To withdraw the permission or delete workouts, use Health Connect. Legal basis: your consent, which you give and withdraw in Health Connect (Article 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a) GDPR).

Crash reports

To fix bugs, the app on iPhone and Android can send a technical crash report when it crashes or hits an error; the Apple Watch app sends no crash reports. The report contains the app version, the version of iOS or Android, the device model, language, the screen where it happened and technical error details. It does not contain your name, email, workouts or health data, and it is not linked to you. Crash reports are processed by our service provider Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) and stored in the EU, and deleted after 30 days. From the connection, Sentry may work out a rough location for a report (such as country and city); the app itself sends no IP address or location, and the location isn't linked to you.

You can turn crash reports off in Settings › Data & storage. Sending stops immediately.

Feedback emails

If you send feedback from the app, your email app opens with a message to us. We receive what you choose to send, such as your email address, your message and, if you add them, technical details or a screenshot. We only use this to answer you.

Export, backup and deletion

What we don't do

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because your workout data stays on your device, in most cases you can do this yourself in the app. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Lagash is not directed at children under 13.
